Cause of pinched nerve in neck:

Mainly pinched nerve in neck takes place when a nerve surrounding the neck damaged or injured by excess pressure. Then it interrupts the signal carrying capacity of a nerve. Many reasons can be stated of pinched nerve disease but it depends on the location of the damaged area. For instance, if the nerves of the neck are damaged then it will cause the pinched nerve in neck producing severe neck pain and shoulder pain. A wrong exercise or performing an exercise in a wrong manner also can cause this medical situation. The herniated disk, arthritis, bone spurs, or spinal stenosis may also be the possible reasons behind this. Narrowing of the spinal canal through which the nerves are passing, is termed as spinal stenosis.

Symptoms of pinched nerve in neck:

The primary symptoms of pinched nerve in neck are chronic and severe neck or shoulder pain making the muscle weak. But as like the causes of pinched nerve in neck the symptoms depend on the number of the damaged nerves as well. Numbness, tingling, muscular weakness, sciatica are the other common symptoms of pinched nerve in neck.

Complete rest for a few weeks and performing some suggested exercise can heal pinched nerve in neck completely.
