Causes of Hip bone spur

The main cause of hip bone spur is osteoarthritis. The end point of the bones in joints is covered by cartilage. This cartilage is affected in case of osteoarthritis. Its smooth surface becomes rough day by day. At last, it is damaged and produces pain. Our body tries to recover. The recovering process becomes harmful often. And then, a new bone grows up beside an existing bone. Another cause of this disease is calcification of tendons and ligaments around hip joint. Trauma to hip joint can cause damage. In this condition sometimes body recovery system produces hip bone spur.

Signs and symptoms of Hip bone spur

To know signs and symptoms of hip bone spur are very much important to diagnose the diseased condition and to give proper treatment. There are some common symptoms which include pain sensation in the affected area and increasing its severity after work load or putting pressure. Another symptom is inflammation of hip joint. The pain usually starts earlier of the day and increases with the period of time because of normal daily activities. We can also find hip numbness in a patient with hip bone spur. Any little symptom that you notice, you should be proactive about it so that will make it easy to arrest the disease in its early stages.

Diagnoses of hip bone spur

The first and compulsory test for diagnoses of hip bone spur is X-ray. If a patient comes with pain in hip joint, then the plain X-ray of hip joint is asked to do. Because of high calcium density in bone spur, radio opaque area of hip joint is more intense than normal. Normally this plane X-ray can reveal the disease. If not, then further investigation is asked to do. Such as: MRI, CAT scan etc. These are normal procedure of diagnoses of a hip bone spur. Just do not keep silent with your condition as it could turn out to be detrimental. Get diagnosed today.

Treatments of hip bone spur

Treatments of hip bone spur are not a highly specific one. These can change in terms of condition of patients. The worse effects of this disease can not be returned to the past situation. But often, in starting age, doctors offer some kinds of surgical treatment to remove spur. But, the basic treatment is rest. This will reduce the irritation as well as pain sensation. This resting situation can be achieved by using some kinds of movement limiting wearing. If we consider about the aspect of drug inducing treatment, broad spectrum anti inflammatory drugs are used. Cortisones are injected in stead of given orally. In case of hip bone spur, sometimes doctors use muscle relaxant to reduce spasms.

Conclusions about hip bone spur

If hip bone spur remains untreated, further complication may arise. This type of complicated spur is not reversible. Even after having a surgical treatment, some kinds of problem may arise like haematoma or bruising. From this paper, everyone should understand clearly about the complications of proliferation of hip bone. So, proper treatment should be induced earlier to limit these growing complexities of hip bone spur. Cortisones are used in some occasions to limit the spreading of pain as well as inflammation. These cortisones are used only after oral anti inflammatory drugs have failed to perform well after one uses them.
